Concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 1:3-4

The incarnation was not simply a matter of residency, as the second person of the Triune God became flesh. It was also an active and intentional engagement in the world of men. God intentionally put eternity aside for a time, and entered humanity, temporarily conflating heaven and earth - this is the true gospel of God.
