BOMM Devotional - Week of July 11

“The one who is not with Me is against Me; and the one who does not gather with Me scatters.”

Matthew 12:30

Jesus was not known for “pulling punches”, to utilize a boxing metaphor. This is especially true in matters concerning His divinity, and His purpose. Jesus is not speaking specifically of Himself in the flesh, (as indicated in v. 31) but His work through the Holy Spirit; the gospel of God. In this inescapable conflict, one presented to every person, there is no neutral ground. Specifically, there is no option for neutral ground, as no place for indifference exists.
